There are other similar apps that work much better, even their free versions. It looks like its time is over or close to that. The gay dating scene is so huge nowadays that existing dating apps are all about competition. However, creators of Jack’d Gay chat & dating app don’t seem to bother or do anything in this regard. Their one and only attempt to exceed Grindr was encouraging users to post photos of their faces not just their headless torso. On this, all attempts finished and the app started torturing its members with non-stop ads. Doesn’t matter how Jack’d positions itself, it’s still a hookup app, and making your way through the apps is not really fair. It’s not fair either to pay for a Pro membership for just receiving cheap sex offers and zero customer support so it makes us wonder why would anyone use it at all.
The answer is, some students may find it worthy of attention because of free options and a big number of young users worldwide. Free hookups are a part of modern youth culture. So there’s a cup of tea for everyone in the list of apps including Jack’d. Just it’s not 100% unique or effective enough to recommend it to everyone.
If the creators of Jack’d really wanted to keep their place in this business, they would have to improve so many things starting from engineering a more technically reliable platform to quicker and more efficient customer support.
